Something robust, functional, ideally with remote lockout, suitable for the heavier rider, 15mm axle

Recommendations?

I don't think there are many 140mm forks out there with remote lockout.
So, the usual suspects, RS Pike, Fox 34 as the default. Formula Thirty-Five/Selva if you really need the remote.

Isn't the new 2018 Pike compatible with a lock out? Boost only I think though

No idea about lockout but I use the Fox 34. Just recently had them bumped up in travel from 130mm to 140mm. Good forks and can handle my hefty weight and terrible riding....

Pikes what I bought, would like to try some MRP's but there a bit too spendy.
Who uses a lockouts on a burly fork? 😉

Yari if you are on a budget. DVO Diamond if you have a bit more to spend and drop it to 140.

I recently ordered a set of 2018 Rockshox Revelations and I they had the option remote lockout, things to bear in mind though is that these are all bost spacing now.

I've had the MRP Ribbon for a couple of months now. It's a fantastic fork. I had a twiddle with all the knobs the first few rides and it's remained untouched since.
I just works, really well. The damping is fantastic.

I have mine at 150mm, but it has all the spacers included to set it anywhere between 120 and 160mm in 5mm increments.
Not strictly a lockout, but flip the LSC control round and it's pretty much locked out even under hefty pedal mashing.
