Snapped chain on last run at BPW yesterday.
Mate gave me a spare so I could ride today as only I had 9 speed links for previous bike on me 😳
Are all the brands much of a muchness or is there a go-to one? (KMC chain FWIW)

I've used a SRAM 9-speed link in a Shimano 10-speed chain. It was fine and lasted until the chain needed replacement.

@scotroutes.
Might be a bit hit and miss with 9 speed links on a 10 speed chain.
Found a random chap in the woods with a broken chain a few months back. Got him up and running again with a spare 9 speed link, didn't fall apart, but it wasn't a good fit, seemed very loose and rattly.
I'd have ridden it back to the car, but not any further.
