[#6840718]

I’ve got Sunday to ride but no riding buddies and not sure where to ride. Local stuff is a bog, stuff I often drive to I assume covered in snow, so it’ll probably be the Chase.

So inspire me with your plans, big or small 😀

Mow cop, Staffs, road up and then the techy little lane over and down and then back up again, just for the hell of it.

No where. Again. GRRR! I haven't been on my bike since before Xmas and it's killing me.
Bloody weather / hockey commitments / illness (delete as applicable) has killed every opportunity I've had.

Belgium. For some reason recce riding the Paris Roubaix route in February was sold to me as a good idea.

Cobbles. Rain. Snow. What could possibly go wrong?

Twyford. No idea what is there but I'm meeting an old uni mate and he said to bring my bike. We'll see. Whatever happens, beer will be drunk.

Just a local 30 mile loop on the road bike tomorrow morning I think. Not sure where yet, it depends on the wind direction when I set off. I'll ride into it on the way out and tail wind home again.

Ohh it has indeed.. Dried out in the most part 3/4's to the top of them. Nice and hard on the clay, hard on the wooded sections but below 3/4's where the sun/wind hasn't been it's still tacky clag in parts, some of the D/H bit's too at the base of the climbs is slippy. Other than that the Downs are running really rather well.
I was up there yesterday on the CX'er doing the section from Winny to Arundel and it was ace, chilly though, wind was bitter.

I'm not riding tomorrow, Sunday will see me up Owlesbury way rattling the Bridleways again on the CX'er.

Tomorrow I will be partaking in a 130 mile audax around Wales and the Cotswolds. The bike has been fettled, freshly cabled and new chain fitted. Just finished off a large bag of chips to get those carbs in the system.

I've got a ride mapped out to explore my new environs. It takes 3 counties, Surrey Hills AONB and South Downs NP. just over 10 miles!

An exploratory ride loosely based on the Bikemaps Dance to the Drum in Conwy. Done a loop over that way a few times but need to explore more. Should be fun, so looking forward to it

Got a friend staying this weekend so going to show him some of our local trails. Itinerary for the weekend:

Beers and Curry watching The rugby tonight.
Big ride out of Ambleside tomorrow. Loughrigg fell, Iron Keld, Hodge Close, Little Langdale, elterwater and Loughrigg Terrace with a stop for a pint and a snack at Hawkshead Brewery.
Sunday think we might go for a quick spin up Farleton Knott before he heads home.

Weather is meant to be good to so bring it on!

Been out on the road bike this afternoon for a spin around Rivi. Lovely sunny afternoon if a bit chilly!

Tomorrow we are doing the Evans Ride-It Rochdale event. Had signed up for the long route but the organisers have pulled the extended bit due to the ice up on top of the Pennines so sadly its just the medium route. Shame really as the point was to find new trails for the MNPR's and we will probably now just be on the stuff that we already know!

Riding's riding though so it will still be good! 😀

Sounds like some of you have awesome weekends planned 8)

The wife has now pencilled me in for a 40miler road ride in the morning before we head to the Banff Film Festival in Brum.

Just need to decide what to do Sunday.

35 miles on the road today. Tomorrow an hours spin on the mtb for a change. Depending on how that goes, Sunday will be either the Gorrick race or a 50 mile road ride.
