Where to stay in Dumfires for SES round 2

Me and a friend have entered the SES round 2 at AE in about a month. We need some accomodation and would ideally like 2 rooms and self catering.

Any suggestions?

Gorsebank is near Dalbeattie, 45min ish away.
Look for stuff around Lockerbie, Lochmaben, Moffat, Thornhill, Dalbeattie or Castle Douglas. All within an 1hr drive from Ae.
