I'm looking to take a group of 5 or 6 people up to Scotland to ride as many of the 7 stanes trails as possible, especially keen to try McMoab. Anyone got any recommended places to stay? Preferably self-catering and reasonably priced.

Take a tent and you can free-camp (legal in Scotland) or stay in campsites! ๐Ÿ™‚

...And there are many other good trail centres in addition to the 7 Stanes, such as Laggan Wolftrax and Learnie Red Rock.

Handy for Dalbeattie(no car needed), Mabie, Ae and Kirroughtree is only an 1hr away. You are only 2hrs from GT/Inners.

i always find that staying at my sisis in strathaven, which is just about bang in the middle of most of them the best place.
breakfast is free and an evening meal+bed for a week costs about a couple of gifts for her kids.
made up she moved up there. ๐Ÿ˜‰
