Looking for suggestions of somewhere not far for a ride tomorrow (if the weather's good)
Stirling is nearby - I often hear there are good routes round there?
I don't mind an hour train then a ferry. In fact, I think it could make the day more interesting. So that opens up Arran, but I've done the black route before.
Or maybe the train then ferry to Dunoon and the Kenny Wilson ride that's near there?
What can you suggest??
Drumlanrig via Sanquhar or the Lowther Hills Southern Upland Way to Wanlockhead etc(os78)
A good ride is from Sanquhar to Dumfries and then train back up 😀
Train to Stirling then head out to the Ochils.
The Ben Cleuch/Mill Glen circuit is a good one which can be done in a couple of hours.
Start/finish in Alva so you get a warm up along the road (the Silver Glen climb is a bit uncompromising in places...)
