My mate has an old mtb and needs new wheels, where can you get cheap rim brake wheels that take a cassette?

How cheep? I've a set of mavic x-139 on cannondale hubs (think they're a formula/sram cup'n'cone design) if he want's them for about £45 posted, only used for a winters on road commuting.

LBS should be able to supply a pair of basic 'normal' wheels if he's on a budget.
