I have a magicshine and a nightfighter both of which are good enough on there own merits but cant use them together as one drowns out the other. One is bright white and the other is neutral white so it just clashes. Looking for a cheap head unit only to use with my own battery pack, thinking a solarstorm or similar but not sure where to get hold of them, any suggestions for lights and places to buy from?

🙂

Hopefully a light keeps that to a minimum.

MTB Batteries for me but tbh I don't do that much night riding

Buying from Amazon as you get market place protection and it usually gives you the majority of MS light available, just buy a full set and dispose of the battery.
I have found my Toutie mini and a SS X2 on full were producing more glare than extra light on full power, so now the Troutie's died (or extremely unwell), I've been looking at the likes of MTB batteries Lumen 800, as my headlight.

I've got a solarstorm light unit somewhere you can have for the price of a Brighton pint. I'll just have to find it...

email me.

I've just ordered one of these
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Waterproof-Hand-free-Headlamp-HeadLight-Bicycling/dp/B018K3O23Y
Not sure what it's going to turn out like but at only £16.99 it seemed like it was worth a punt and as mentioned above, if you don't need the accessories then just put them to one side.
