just been looking at some stuff on a ad on here.

who makes up some of the prices? are they on another planet or even in another galaxy?
Stuff seem pretty reasonable to me. It's in euros by the way.
£30 for the arm warmers. Similar price to
£115 for a pertex type windproof?
even a montane one is less than half that.
It's aimed at hipsters with trust funds. Ignore.
Gufo wind breaker? Hehe.
Well I wouldn't pay those prices, pounds or euros. But then I don't have the right kind of beard or glasses.
The first mistake you made Tony was clicking on one of the ads 😉
Still cheaper than Rapha, it's the same kind of market.
Made in Italy rather than cheap far east production.

Fair pay for a fair days work? Sounds like a good idea really
You are making the mistake of assuming that functionally similar products should be similarly priced.
There is simply no law of economics that says this should be so.
I think those are audaciously-priced considering they look terrible, but that is a personal opinion. Other people in the expensive cycle-ware market may disagree!
🙂
Something is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.
those boots are pretty special. nearly as bad as these,
£200 for hand made italian leather boots doesn't seem too bad. It's clearly not aimed at people who get their best Saturday night outfit from George at Asda but it's cheaper than Rapha and a lot better looking than the standard drab cyclist stuff from Altura or Endura. The boots for example look like a good balance between something that is practical enough for use on the bike but you could also jump straight off the bike and into a business meeting.
I wouldn't buy the stuff but it's far from the worst. You could spend £165 to look like a liquorice allsort...
