I've noticed that the glue's wearing off on the pads so they're kinda moving about now, it's a pretty old lid. 4 or 5 years I think.
I do plenty of lying down but don't recall landing on my head.

I tend to change mine around every 3 years, depending on how much use it's had/crashes/wear/smell & general mankyness
