[#4426861]

Got a little play in my front wheel which new bearings haven't fixed. I have on-one adaptable max wheels with a standard Planet X skewer. I'm thinking that a stronger skewer may fix the problem but does anyone know which size to order or if there is a sleeve I can order to strengthen the skewer?

is the play between the dropouts on the fork and the hub or actually on the wheel somewhere?

It's on the wheel I'm sure as I've tried it on another bike with rigid forks and the plays still there. Driving me mad!

if it's within the wheel structure then a new/thicker qr won't make much difference? If the QR is tight then the components on the hub will be under all the compression they need.

sure it's not play in the spokes or soemthing?

Doesn't seem to be any play in the spokes, they seem really tight. I've took it to a couple of lbs a few times and they can't find the cause. The last one suggested a different thicker skewer but I don't know which size.

Arrrggh! Still got this problem and I've got a big ride coming up and really need it fixed. Would a new hub fix it do you think?
