I have Pro 2 Evos which everyone knows are upto the weather we have in NW. But they're so noisy when you wanna freewheel. So which wheels compare. I've had a set of XT's but the seals are just not up to it - unless they're better now?
I have heard you can fill the freehub on the hopes with grease to quiet them down a little bit, might be worth a shot.
Yeh! that will work, might try a bit of that. We had BMX years back (building them up) and Odyssey made a hub 'Hazard' which is a legend. BMX'ers loved it because it was loud, super strong. We greased it up just as part of looking after it but my local expert warned me that the grease might stick the pawls so I let the grease down a bit with some oil. But, yep it did damp it down. Nice one 🙂
I fulled one with grease & it leaked out gradually - which was a good thing in a way as it was too quiet 🙂
