[Closed] wheel movement advice please?

My uncle asked me this by email, can anyone help please?

Something I noticed the other day on my bike was, when stationary, with me standing over the top tube, if I applied the front brake and pushed down on the front suspension the wheel skewed towards the left fork stantion (the side of the fork where the brake rotor is mounted). The skew amounted to several millimetres. Although I didn't measure the deflection it looked like 10mm or so of deflection.

Later I noticed that, and perhaps not surprisingly, the same happened dynamically whilst under braking on the move. On a safe, fast, straight down hill run, I could easily see the wheel moving off-centre whilst under front-end braking.

Do you know if this is just a sign of cheap, flexible wheels, or do they all do this?

Any ideas; solutions would be appreciated.

Depending on the hub , could be that the cone nuts are loose, or the wheel isn't in the dropouts properly.
