Hi everybody.
I was recommended by you great people to buy a Giant Anthem X4, which I did a few months ago. I absolutely love it, and thank you all for the great advice.
I am organising a few long rides/marathons next year and I know that the one area I'd like to upgrade is the wheels, as the factory ones are pretty heavy.
I do 99% XC riding, with occasional visits to trail centres, so I don't think that I need a particularly burly set.
I have no real knowledge over which brands are better than others, so would love some advice of what to go for. I love the look of the Easton EA90s but they seem quite pricey.......but the aesthetics are great. I'd ideally like to keep the spend as little as possible but could go to £350ish.
Please recommend!
hope hoops will fit in that price bracket.

pro 2 evos on stans crests will be perfect for you 🙂
winstanleys always seem to have the best price whenever I'm in the market for wheels.

Eastons have a habit of going through bearings and feehubs at an alarming rate.
Hope with some sort of Stans rim is your best bet at that price.
Hope on Stan's - that is usually the STW recommendation for wheels

Your spoke choice can save a fair bit of weight on the build so look at your options there & decide whats best for you. I run the DT revolutions without issues for any riding I have done from bashing plenny run to my local loop with 1 broken spoke running since 2005.
Hope Hoops with Stans rims (probably Crest for riding you describe). That's the STW standard answer, and for good reason.
