After some advice what is the normal lacing pattern for rear wheel 29er, 32 spokes Roval Control Trail 29 and Hope Pro II 135mm QR, I'm on a spoke calculator site, its asking about 2 cross , 3 cross , 4 cross etc.... thanks ๐Ÿ˜€

it says

Left spoke length: 293.5 non drive side
Right spoke length: 293 drive side

does this seem about right ERD 603mm Hope Pro II 135mm

I get 292.5 and 291.6 on freespoke.

spokes I have that came with the wheel are 295 and 293 ish that was with a specialised 142+ x 12 hub , confused tried a few sites all different ๐Ÿ˜ณ

You may see variations between spoke calcs but they should be minor.

Bear in mind that you're likley going to need to round the numbers to whole millimeters anyway.

A 142 hub is going to use slightly longer spokes I'd have thought? The distance from centre-flange is going to be a little longer than for a 135.

Musson covers all of this in his excellent pdf ebook at wheelpro. Possibly the best wheelbuilding tenner you'll ever spend!

Drive side and non drive side should generally differ by 2mm, dishing will be easier if that is the case.

Will now need to build a jig and just have a go and then call for help from a certain friend to check if i have completely made a hash ๐Ÿ˜€

I'm surprised, but as I've not got anything wider than 135 I'm happy to stand corrected.
Where does the extra 7mm come from then? Can't be a longer freehub. Is it just spacered at the ends or something?

Longer disc side end cap.

Don't go with the 2mm difference in length either. There are a lot of variables which may make this wrong
