I have to have a wheel rebuilt, having abused my bike's ability to work with point & fire line choices.
Can anyone recommend somewhere in the North East (Newcastle / Durham / Sunderland)? I'd normally go to Steel's but that is sadly no longer an option.
cj performance - top of byker/ chillingham road or have a shop in cramlington. Ben in the Newcastle shop has built some good wheels for me
Paul Curran in Stockton has a very good reputation for wheels (as well as riding bikes very fast) if it's not too far South for you.

skinny micks on westgate road, built a few for me, good rider and knows his stuff.
can recommend bykology at hexham also but its a bit far for you
Jack at Wheel Works in Peterlee is good, he's done a few wheels for us-
Had several sets built by Westbrooks in Stokesley - they are still round and tune after years of abuse
Ben in the Newcastle shop has built some good wheels for me
Ben has unfortunately moved on, now working in Cheshire....
+1 Skinny Mick's ... Top bloke and very professional
+1 for Skinny Micks on Westgate Rd or Scotty Mears @ cyclefix in Birtley, both top lads n know always done spot on work
I shall let Ben know when I see him that he has moved on ๐
Suspect it may be a different Ben- he however is leaving soon too.
Thanks everyone, I'll give some of them a try.
Dave at Edinburgh Bike, superb wheel builder
Another +1 for Skinny Mick. Top mechanic, a top rider and a canny lad to boot.
