I've always had a thing for Jennifer Rush's Power of Love and Alone by Heart.

[There goes any semblance of credibility I ever had]

1. Here I go again - whitesnake (if you can consider it a power ballad). For very personal reasons. otherwise I'm not a great Whitesnake fan.

2. Undertow - Genesis (actually really really like this one)

Shurley you mean "Love Bites!"

Love Bites! reminds me of a teenage love affair that didn't happen. She was keen on me but I was too cautious. Looking back, she was pretty hot, apart from her front teeth, which was what I had doubts about - what an idiot!

I suppose it depends how you define a power ballad.

For me it would be Ghost Love Score by Nightwish. That must be right on the outer fringes of what a power ballad is...

"I'll protect you from the hooded claw.
Keep the Vampires from your door"

For some reason I really like this version - warning contains totty and cycling content.

Now WHERE did I leave my remaining vestige of credibility?

Live to tell - classic.

I was just listening to One by U2 but not sure it is power ballad though.

Drive by the Cars?

Chicago -all of their songs!

Phil Collins - Against all odds ๐Ÿ™
