is it like Chamonix in that you have to work a bit to get to the trails, or does it all flow from the town like in Morz/Les Gets/Les Arcs? Do you need a guide or is there a handy book/map (are all the trails ID'd on the 1:25,000 swiss maps?)? Are the trails predominantly flowing singletrack, or rocky stuff, or roots, or all three? I wonder how it compares to say the singletrack in Les Arcs or Chamonix.

Similar to Chamonix in terrain. ie much more steep sided valleys compared to Morzine/les arcs which means some serious tech.. 😯
no book that I know of. Bike Verbier are your experts in the area.
