Whats the minimum you'd take out with you on a ride ie. tools etc? I'll only be riding local and llandegla for now but will want to start venturing further when I get a bit fitter???
a bikini, some coconut milk and a bowie knife.
I already pack them, goes without sayiing!
SFB will be along in a minute with a photo of the contents of his Camelbak
or of the bottom half of a laydee riders camelback... ๐
Pump, tube, puncture oufit, Topeak Hexus 16 tool, long-arm 8mm allen key, 15mm cone spanner(pedals), spare dropout, spare 1/2worn brake pads, few zip-ties, 6"x6" piece of DPC for patching torn tyres.
Spare tube, puncture kit, C02 inflator pump & spare gas, Leatherman charge Ti with allen key attachments, food & drink, length of Star Wars tape (wrapped round pump), couple of cable ties.
Oh, and a large bucket of water for finding the puncture ๐
Minimum is me and the bike - no tools or spares - What's the worst that can happen? Walk back...
Pump, tube. Sometimes not even that.
It's riding a bike, in a reasonably civilised country, with a temperate climate.
2 x inner tubes, pump, multi tool, zip ties, chain links,food , gear cableif local
+ tesco torch spare light if winter
+ brake pads and puncture repair kit + more food if further afield
Crasher you up (Llandegla) during the week? Call in and say hi in the caff.

Thanks for all the replies. I'll start to get some of the things, starting with a puncture repair kit or inner tube and a pump!
