I just use the cheapest Assos ones, they work and, for me, are comfy.

Planet X Clubman Light. Good quality and price, no thigh grippers which is a bit odd at first

Decathlon for me too, I was impressed with how good they are - not what I was expecting.

couldn't find a decent Morvelo sizing.

dab are - ok - but they wouldn't;t be my default.

I did / do have some old Enduras.

My best fitting and comfortable ones are Rapha (in sale, obvs). There is a sale on. I had to go up to Large though, even a 30" waist.

Rivelo honister. Brilliant shorts and good for massive rides, like 8 hours in the saddle or more.

Get them off Sports Pursuit for £50, size up properly too. If you're a medium kind of cycling chap  get a medium, as in no more than 32 waist, no more than 80kg

Assos, Rapha, Morvelo. All good. I'd be looking at the Rapha Core or something from their current sale.

I like Giordana for the cost vs quality ratio...

sizing is very much racing Italian stylee though...vanity they are not. 🤢

I’ve had Mavic, DHB Aeron and various Planet X.

Planet X would be my first port of call if they had what I wanted. Sizing is UK normal not Euro-roadie.

Pactimo are the best I've tried. Some decent discounts at present in their Tour de France sale.

I've found the BTwin (Decathlon) ones to be OK, but only up to short distances (30-40km). My favourite shorts, the ones I've done 100+ mile rides in, are my DHB Aeron.

I've got some Assos non-bib shorts that are about 10 years old and refuse to die, but I haven't tried their bibs.

FTR I haven't tried the more expensive brands.
