Taken my tyres off because im having new rims but they are covered in sealant. What is the best way to get the sealant off the tyres?

I'd just leave it, the majority anyway, that stuff is a pain in the arse to get off.

I tried boiling water, pan scourers, fairy liquid, nothing really did much. I sacked it off and remounted the tyre with a tube and it's been fine. Oddly you may find your tube gets a bit glued to your tyre when you need to get your tube out, it peels away though.

I wasnt planning on using a tube Im going getto again. I thought that leaving it on would give a rubbish seal.

I peel off any long stringy bits around the bead, but that's it. It only takes a minute or so to do a quick but effective job.

Just clean off the bead, the latex thats lining the tyre is sealing it, so you can cut back on the fresh stuff you put in.

if it's dry i just rub it off with my hand, it's not rocket surgery

just rub it off with your fingers, comes off very easily (wheel milk)
