What size Torx key do the new Shimano cranks like the SLX need? Chainring bolts that is, they seem to have gone to stupid Torx keys making me buy tools I don't want or need!

T-30 I think. Making you buy tools you don't need? I think you'll find that you do need one.

I think it was a 30 too,
certainly bigger than 25, and dont think it was the 27, but ive not got the chainset to hand to check.
pi$$ed me right off too.
and they were f*** off tight as well, no hope of bodging it.

I remember there being a thread on here where someone had tried undoing those bolts with a hex wrench. It did not end happily.
