it appears i have expensive tastes... I fancy a full suss for a change but being tax time and after christmas etc i am skint. My only option is to sell my cotic Bfe and buy a full suss for whatever money i get for it (tried offering it for px on here but no takers).
So question is what is out there for similar money to a nice well kitted Bfe. Want to sell whole bike and buy a whole bike ideally and it will be used for the kind of riding a Bfe was designed for.
In an ideal world i would have a blur 4x, cotic rocket or nicolai am etc. but as usual what i want is not affordable.
What else would be a fun ride, anyone seen any bargains around? What would you buy for that kind of money?
cheers all

Blur 4X on pinkbike at the moment for £550. Seems like a good deal.

Mines away getting a new coat for 2012. Itching to get it back and built!

You might have to put a bit towards one after selling your BFe frame but honestly, they're as good as the hype.

Had mine 3 years now which is weird for me - I'm usually a serial bike changer but looking at other sensibly priced options (yes, I'd love 2012 Five with Maxle rear end and a Double Barrel but I'm not spending £2k on something that'd possibly only be a teeny tiny bit better).

Ran mine with all kinds of setups and settled on 160mm forks, wide flat bars, 1x9 setup and Joplin. Lovely thing... does everything. Big days out, Alps trips, hour thrashes around the woods with the seat down etc.

cheers DBW, yep i have fancied one for quite a while now, hard to find though and hard to talk myself off a hard tail.

Setup sounds good and similar to how i would set it up with parts off the bfe, so good to hear you where happy with that setup after a few variations.

Yep i know i would have to stump up a chunk of cash too but even though i shouldn't, i never find it too hard to convince myself.

Be nice to just flog my bike complete and buy a complete replacement though, fed up of building up bikes...

why not just buy a frame and swap the parts?
