Hmmm, I might want to sell my 18inch soon too. Literally only ridden a handful of times but the addition of an Alfined 29er as a "winter" bike has given me a hankering for a full suss (Orange 5 or the like) again so my two mtbs are very substantially different (I know a ti456 and a alfined Sir9 are actually like chalk and cheese, but easier to justify with the house accountant if they LOOK substantially different too!).

Crazy really as it is a lovely bike.

I suspect the carbon 456 on the horizon will do little for the 2nd hand prices of the ti version. 😥

With them only being £800 new, you're looking at about £500-£600 tops on here.

May get more on the bay if people bid based on the BikeRadar review with it still being listed a £1100...

A Ti29er sold recently for £400.

Last one I saw went for £800 with a set of Revs - but I believe that it was bought on a deal at £1100 for frame+revs.

I reckon £500-600 based on that the sale has now finished.

Forgot to mention its frame and headset only.

Daffy - Had a look at On one web site, the £800 deals seem to have pretty much sold out now, but I know what you mean!

Convert - You seem to be in a similar quandry as me. I had two long travel HTs and a short travel Full Sus xc bike, I wanted to come down to two bikes that between them could do most stuff I needed (including a winter, dirty bike). I've ended up going for a 5 frame to do the xc,trail and up the mountains role and decided on keeping the lesser of the hardtails as a knock about/winter bike. It does seem crazy to get rid, but it actually is surplus to requirements. 😕

I know what you mean about stock, but it'll never be worth any more. Would you pay £700-800 for something SH when you knew that only recently it'd been £800 new?

How long did it take before people began to accept that the price for an XTR chainset was now £300, and like it or not couldn't be had new for £180?
