Hi I'm just returning to riding after a lay off and thinking about treating myself to an upgrade as a way of motivating myself. However this is dependent on selling my current road bike (austerity and all that...). Question is what is it worth?

It is a 2 year old Planet X SL Pro

Medium frame in clear coat carbon (heli tape in all right places)
Shimano RS 80 wheels
SRAM Red shifters/front/rear mech
Planet X brake callipers
FSA gossamer 170mm compact cranks

All in good condition

Any guesses?

£800 easily on eBay I'd have thought. It amazes me the prices 2nd hand road bikes fetch on there

....the high 2nd hand prices are often 'friends' bumping price up.
Often the bike is relisted soon after ..

Mmm....I'd thought eBay would pump it up a bit but in some ways i would be happy if it went to a good home

Mate has one the same, nice specced bike.

Interested in the shifters and mechs if you ever decide to split 🙂

No worries, would be a PITA all those trips to the post office etc.

I sold my Planet-X SL Pro for £750. Mine was Dura-ace where yours is SRAM Red, and the wheels on mine where Planet-X Model B, other than that the same. I never got around to putting it up for sale, but spotted a wanted ad on here and sold it to somebody who lived local, so no issues with postage.

Stick it in the classifieds on here and slam some pics on it..

Should shift it no problem.
