Looks like there may be some showers at Lee Quarry this weekend during the Weekender. Hopefully not but there is some likelihood. What are grip levels like if the rock is wet? Does it get really slippery or does it maintain good grip like gritstone.
It's generally grippy in the wet and you will be fine. The xc course will be grippy in the wet. The dh has a section with plenty of rocks on and some of them are slate (which is not so grippy when wet). Decent front tyre that you trust would be my recommendation with a fast roller on the back.
Grip is still good in the wet, its the wind you have to be aware of!

And the sheep, some are somewhat kamikaze. Biggest issue is the exposure on some sections, get it wrong and you're off the side of the slag heaps with nothing but sheep between you and the bottom. Makes you concentrate though.
