Had some MW80s for years now, but are too battered to keep wearing. What are the best sub-£150 boots around at the moment?

Diadora Chilli's are warmish BUT, mine are uninsulated on the sole(!) and not waterproof in any shape or form. I think my summer Diadora's are as warm...

I have the specialised ones. Used to have the shimano ones until they wore out.
The spesh are a marginally narrower fit and I don't think they are as warm as the shimano. I still prefer the speak ones tho as they have studs on the toes.

Gaerne polar - by far the best boot I have tried over the years.

BigBob are the Gaernes waterproof?

Size wise did you get a bigger size than normal to allow extra socks, sandwich bags etc......

I've got a pair of northwave celsius gtx's.

Just had them and only two rides in them, but wished i'd bought some 2 years ago!

Very stiff and very light for a winter boot.

lakes mx but they are very very expensive. Super warm never had cold feet ant totally waterproof if used with stealths to stop water getting in via the neoprene top as it runs down your leg when the heavens fully open

another vote for the northwave celcius gtx boots.

had them nearly two years now and have kept my feet warm and dry even in the most harsh weather.

+ 1 for northwave celcius, got them in a sale good discount, feels like riding in SPD slippers! Really warm stiff comfortable. Seen a few reviews about them chaffing around the tops. I find best to pull the cord tight to fasten the boots then not pull the over flap too tight. All good.

Pearl Izumi Barrier GTX are good. Had mine a couple of years now and used them in the Lakes and Yokshire through the winter. Slightly chilly toes at -14C this winter but fine to -5C. Keep feet dry. They went up from £100 to £200 over the last couple of years but some reduced ones around at the moment. Sold in mens and womens sizes.Toe studs helpful if snowy hike-a-bike.

Had NV Celsius, and Shimano MT90's, wish I'd got the MW80 's first & saved me the hassle

Lake Winter boots MXZ302.
Vibram sole
real leather so care and proof with nikwax (ages nicely)
boa lacing
bullet proof
warm on all day rides at minus 10deg c and yet never overly hot when plus 10deg c
got mine for £154 in end of season sales
end of decision.
