My faithful old rucksack with loose foldaway waterproof cover has blown it's zips. So after a new waterproof bag for commuting.
Can't do panniers as alternate between the MTB and roadbike, and neither have a rack.
So after a ruck sack or courier bag type thing.

Any fully waterproof options being used and rated that do not have a waterproof cover to fit and worry about?

alpkit gourdon. not the most featured (or expensive bag) but it is waterproof. one with the pockets is useful.

I would have said maybe the Deuter DS18 rucksack but they don't make them anymore! What about an Ortlieb Velocity?

I use these -> http://www.trakke.co.uk/

Roomy and not a drop of water has got in despite being in Scotland.

It would appear though that the website has gone tits up.

alpkit or timbuk2 mavericks

I've been using the mavericks for 2 years - bombproof and very waterproof and you can carry a lot of stuff (inc laptop).

Thanks all. The alpkit looks great for the price. Is it tough enough for everyuday though? Will it last? Or is it a plastic backed material that will delaminate over time?
