tried some sealskins and they were as rubbish as the socks, what gloves are there that are completely waterproof? if any? and I dont want to wear marrigolds lol.

None.
They have a design flaw - the hole that faces upwards where your hand goes. That and a lot of seams. And the huge surface area of your hand sweating away inside them.
IMO you are better to buy some that dry quickly, and are warm when wet.
Or buy cheap, and buy three pairs.
Pearl Izumi P.R.O. barrier WxB glove (from a PSA here for £10!)- truly waterproof, as proved by using them like marigolds when i spent a day washing apples for cider-making.
You could try neoprene wetsuit gloves. Though they will probably be too warm and sweaty unless it is very cold weather. Much cheaper than Sealskinz anyway.

Completely waterproof and great when it is properly sub-zero. I have some and they are absolutely fantastic.
They're entirely useless for the rest of the year as your hands will be drenched in seconds.
wait for the Aldi winter cycling gloves. But sweaty but waterproof.
