From the 70/80s Not the CB250, the did a two into one in 250 and 400cc IIRC.
Not the CB250RS either. I remember it had yellow paintwork.

Whichever one it was - you can rest assured - it was a pile of shite [as a sports bike]

It was the CJ250 that had a 2-1. Utterly, utterly horrible. No power, no brakes, no handling.

Must have been this then, we swapped bikes so often I've lost track. Having a reunion with some guys I rode with. What ever happened to my Jota ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

It was a CJ250. I had one and it really wasn't a bad bike. Handling was pretty good but lost out to RD's etc on acceleration. Took mine to IOM in '77 and had the honour of being overtaken, as if I was standing still, by Mick Grant who was having a practise lap ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Just acceleration?

What ever happened to my Jota

I raced it for 2 seasons 78 & 79 before writing off the frame at Cadwell
The bottom half of the engine is still under a bench in my workshop

A mate had a CJ. It was pretty porky (that's porky NOT poky)and for a while it developed a fault which meant steam was discharged from it like a train. Ho ho.
RS250's were good fun - they could wheelie. 'Course there are all pretty much dead now due to dodgy cylinder head design which meant that they all split eventually.
Dreams and Superdreams were just DULL.

Yeah just Googled it the CJ250. Trying to put a list together of all the junk I had.
Next to check out is the Z650 with the Iron Cross rear light ๐Ÿ˜ณ that I high sided on a kerb and landed in a graveyard, happy days.

I had a mate who rode everywhere on his knackered old fizzy. It came with mole grips as a standard, to pull out the baffle so he could bang the soot out of it, as his carb was just a little bit shagged. What a great noise they made!

CBT on saturday (damn my mum for not letting me do my bike test when I was 18)! MLC in full swing! Trying to make up my mind on a first big bike....happy days
