For general riding and some longer events too......

Used KMC BMX chains before and although fine maybe a bit overkill?

your thoughts? or any other recommendations around the £15 mark?

thanks in advance.

A couple of SRAM chains disintegrated when I used them SS. Maybe a bad batch, but it's not worth risking gonads to find out if they've improved.

Never had a problem with KMC 610HX.

Epicyclo, I had a couple of rollers disintegrate on a couple of chains myself but I'd put it down to a dodgy bearing in my WI freewheel!

I'm still on a Connex Wippermann 3/32 chain that I got in the CRC Flood sale (remember that?). In fact I've got a spare so I'm well happy should I ever need it. That's at least 18 months of use and probably more. When you consider that I'm a bit hefty and strong and snap about 3 9-speed chains a year on my hardtail I'm well impressed with the Connex.
