Is it all going to go pear shaped if I use a quick release skewer (with chaintug) on a ss with horizontal drop outs?

I never found chaintugs that allowed QR to be used, because the thickness of the tug was too much for the length of the WR skewer

i've used a good old Shimano steel QR and a DMR chain-tug for years with no problems
and you mean track-end rather than horizontal drop-out, yes?
