I know this has been asked a million times. The common theory is to go 1 size down from your road frame but reading some things on the internet this isn't always best
My road frame is a 56 with a traditional flat (geometry wise) top tube. which is 54 centre to centre. I also run a nice long 120m stem. People comment i always seem to have a high seat (18cm seatpost showing to rails)
I'm 5'9 with a 32" inseam
been looking at the forme hiver or empella bonfire*
* Which says for my leg and height should be a 56

same-ish size which typically means 2ish cm shorter top tube.
