Its nearly birthday time!
My lad will be five and he's a bit of a giant for his age (120cm tall). He's totally grown out of his islabikes cnoc 14 and really wants a bmx, which is cool - i love buying bikes 🙂
Not sure however which size to go for - should I be looking at a 16" or 18" wheeled bmx (there are quite a few about) or just a normal 20" with a short top tube?

Subrosa Salvador is a proppa mini-bmx with 18" wheels. rocket jr is 15 but he has a mate of Hobbit proportions who has had a 18" Subrosa for several years. Very nice bike, not a toy.
race or jump/park stylee?
if the former then there are loads of mini with 20" wheels (they also do micro minis with 18s). Something like this:
