5-10s. The best. If you want to keep your feet warm and dry get some sealskin socks to go along with them

Old Skool waffle soled Vans, ideally hi-tops purely because they look cool.

Just bought some '06 661 Dually Takis which bizarrly appeared on CRC at a bargain price too tempting to ignore. Not used them yet due to excess of mud this weekend - they are new you know! Does anyone have experience of these? I'm very fussy about my shoe/pedal interface and well used to 5:10s which are great, will they measure up?

For me, I'm happy with my MP90's for the following reasons;

1. Half the price of 5.10
2. Sole lasts longer
3. More weather resistant
4. Dry out quicker

5:10's , Nike Air Whistlers, Shimano MP56's and MP90's all working well for me depending on riding type and conditions.

And yes I agree with the comments regarding MP90's above, great for Winter, get em while you can (Shimano importer isn't bringing in the '09 white version !?)

I've found the waffle sole on vans to be the best 'budget' option.....If you don't mind wet feet.... only goes as far as your skin 😕
