As title.

Although the wet weather isn’t with us quite yet, I’ve set my mind to not riding with permanent damp feet this year. I’ve tried various methods including using nappies to soak up the soggy mess that my winter shoes turn into by mid-December.

So what’s the STW choice of electric shoe dryer?

I bought these last year -  https://www.amazon.co.uk/544-96-40-01-Husqvarna-Dryer/dp/B009X7T296

Don't get really hot, so do need a good overnight/during the day period to dry them but they do work. If the shoes are fully drenched it would take a good two days or so.

The ones above probably better but I don't have a permanent place to put 'em!

I have one like this from Clas Ohlson, does the job no worries:  https://www.clasohlson.com/uk/2-Hose-Shoe-Dryer/18-4758?gclid=CjwKCAjw8uLcBRACEiwAaL6MSZtzuO3yB9R4CImzjwvyloIaXMBTJy601e-PPfrB59kJXqGis-GtcxoCcV0QAvD_BwE

I've got the Clas Ohlsen one too.  Great bit of kit.  Stick the timer on 3 hours and job done.

We bought one of these last year. Figured we'd only ever buy one so worth buying a decent one.  Works well.  Blows in warm air on a timer, does two pairs at once.

3 hours isn't enough to dry a pair of 5:10's but a second go means they're dry by next morning for another day of riding.  Great investment.

I've always stuck to newspaper and somewhere warm. Also have a spare pair of shoes for when they're particularly bad

One to avoid is the Decathlon drier. Not convinced it puts out any heat, so takes an age to dry things

I have the Clas Olson version. One of those things you don't know you need until you have one.

Warm shoes on a cold winter's morning. I'm in.

I made my own out of a couple of pc fans and and old laptop PSU. 5-10s out of washing machine and on to radiator upside down with a fan jammed in each and left overnight. Dry as a bone in the morning.

Obviously personal choice and size of wallet but goretex cycling boots are a great help over winter...I've had mine for about 12 years and they just keep working (admittedly I no longer ride daily)...

Waterproof boots for me too, make a huge difference to your comfort when it is wet. Wipe them down with kitchen roll when you're home.
