[Closed] What sag and rebound speed do you set front and rear?

I've got a 6" Kona Dawg with RP2 and a 32mm 6" Sektor fork up front. I ride trails and enjoy downhills. I've got 30% sag on the rear and 20% on the front with a slower rebound on the rear. This feels right to me, but interested to know what others run...

I'd say a little bit less sag on the rear and a little more on the front on a Dawg, front rebound a little bit faster than the back isn't a bad idea. If it feels right, chances are it could well be.

Why would you want rebound faster on the front ? Why not the same front and rear ?

Slightly slower rebound on the rear helps to right the bike backwards over technical downhill terrain.

The easiest way to explain it is if you imagine the opposite. Fast rear rebound and slow front rebound. Now, if you were to hit a drop and have both wheels hit the ground at the same time, the rebound will act to throw your weight forwards as the back rebounds quicker than the front.

Learnt that the hard way!

I've been HT boy up 'til now. Built myself a Mega, 2nd ride out had the rebounds set up wrong, "landed" a 25foot tabletop wrong. Couple of cracked ribs & a bruised Old Chap.

Learned that the hard way as well - my RP3 rear shock was increasing the rebound speed every time I switched settings - had some cr*p stuck in the dials. After a while a simple 1 foot drop ended up with me over the bars as the back end kicked in too fast. Been very careful since to make sure the rear shock is set real slow. I do find the front setting depends on what terrain you are riding though.
