CX bike isnt seeing much use for its SB8s so thinking might go with some road bike tyres over the winter but which ones? Something puncture resistant, good grip and reasonable price(like £25 max each).

Oh 25mm wide as have got some mudguards for it too...

25mm wide? Just get seme wider mudguards? I ran 28mm conti GP4seasons and the narrowest SKS chromoplastics, now running 32mm Conti Sport Contact which feel much nicer and one size up on the chromoplastics.

Unless your constrained by clearance which seems unlikely on a CX bike designed for mud? If you are then Schwalbe blizzards at £12 a pop are my winter tyres of choice. Not puncture proof like marathons, but they don't feel completely dead/heavy either.

Thanks tinas - clearance was due to the sks olympics so 28s should be fine, the small blocks aren't 🙂
