My good wife has signed up for the etape and has given me the go ahead to upgrade her road bike (I'm always eager for a bike build). She's got a [url= http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-gb/bikes/model/scr.3.0.spring.07/157/28822/#features ]Giant SCR3[/url] with fairly cheap wheels (Alex DA22 rims on Formula hubs).
Any advice on what to go for? I quite like hope hubs for their cartridge bearings, I'm pretty rubbish at looking after cup and cone (I'm sure I could learn). Would anyone be able to suggest something more appropriate than Pro3s on Stans Alpha rims or why not to go for these?
