Cos a lot of road rims seem to be recommended for fairly narrow tyres
Open pro on one set and exal lx17 on tother
IRD Cadence Aero
Are you running tyres wider than 28c on these?
Open pro - ignore the max tyre width. 700x32c fit.
edit: so do 35c tyres (Conti CX race 35-622 according to my last order)
I've run wider on both but the exal they are better due to the width, cheap and strong too
Any rim, width irrelevant as you are running high pressures.
Open Pro's and 35mm Landcruisers here.
asked a similar q a little while ago and terrahawk chimed in saying 2.4s fit ok but were a bit squirmy, but 2.1 SB8s were "spot on"
edit - ...on open pros
Aye should have caveated my response to cx-width tyres.
Mavic Ksyrium's here with various tyres up to 35mm width.
404's....
I have a touring set on mine - sputniks I think they're called. Probably not acceptable if you're a CX speed merchant, but they're great for hammering it round off-road / general commuting. Can be thrashed with impugnity.
Open Pro front and On-One retard on t'back.
Campagnolo Neutron or Ambrosio Nemesis.
Ultegra, Open Pro, A-Class and Aksium.
Salsa Delgardo's - although Open Pro's accept a 32 or 35c, I don't think the tyre profile is right on the narrower rim. On the wider Delgardo's the contact area is larger, not as rounded a tyre, probably makes no sense to anyone but me.
American Classic Hurricanes.
Ambrosio excellence, ksyriums when I was pretending to be serious, more recently some bontrager 29er rims. All have worked with 32-35mm tyres no problem.
Open Pro, Maxxis Mud Wrestler, 33psi
If I can find some money down the back of the sofa then I'll run tubs next season.
Aksium, came with the bike, and I see no need to change them
