Any tips, biggest emphasis is for quiet above anything else?

Our fifty quid halfords one is pretty quiet, surprisingly.

The Elite Turbo Muin is semi-smart and very, very quiet.
I’ve also had a Cascade Fluid Pro which was almost silent. Not sure if you can still get hold of them now though.

Are fluid rather than mag usually quieter?

My other half needs one for a theatre piece believe it or not!

Any trainer, just adjust it so the rear tyre doesn't connect to it by a few mm. Hey presto, you can sit and spin to your heart's content with no noise! I've used this feature by accident myself, amazing how strong you feel compared to normal too. 🙂
