I am interested to know what people are using and if they are happy with them as I am not sure what ones to get. I was happy with my old titanium hope ones but need a new pair for my new wheels, currently looking at hope again (seem heavy) or the KCNC ones.

Thanks in advance

An old shimano one (LX i think) on my bike. Not sure whether theres anything better, all they have to do is hold your wheel in and it does that fine.

Yep, shimano here too, on all bikes.

Have seen all sorts of interesting problems with other brands, including Hope and Salsa, that put me off anything boutique.

Anything shimano - xt on mine but had deore before and all work well and better than most of the competition IMO.

After being quoted £30.00 by LBS for a set of Shimano skewers I've happily used cheap 'Outland' ones for the last couple of years with no hassle.
About a tenner, work perfectly.

Their grips are good as well.

Always used Shimano and they have always done the job well until I got some fancy Crank Bros ones and now they are doing the job well, but look nicer. IMO

Shimano or a 5mm Allen key for me! Rarely ride the QR equipped mountain bikes these days though!

Road bikes are both on Shimano skewers, though.

Hope and/or Shimano (assorted wheels). Both fine

You can't fault Shimano but if you fancy something pretty, I've been using 4 sets of Salsa stainless steel QRs for ages. I'm sure one pair dates back to 1998 and they've never given me a moments bother. Love 'em.

I've worked on a few bikes with the old style Hope and as much as I love Hope kit, they never felt as secure as the Salsa. I can't comment on the new shape though. Seen quite a few of the rebranded Taiwanese specials go pop at really bad times.

Shimano XT, I've had Hope in the past and various others but the Shimano ones just have a more positive locking feel to them.

XTR - yes, I know they're silly money, but they are seven years old and still going strong and secure.

Shimano Deore on all our bikes. Had DT Swiss and also various unbranded QR's but they were difficult to do up properly and I had a few cases of them coming undone while riding.

The Shimano's have been perfect.

currently have Hope on all my bikes. Despite that the best looking and most secure after market ones Ive ever used are Salsa, and the best otherwise are XT/XTR. The only Q/R that would hold the rear wheel in my litespeed rear (6/4 Ti) dropouts without it slipping was XTR.

If i wasnt OCD enough to want all my bikes to match I would have bought the Salsas on classifieds. 🙄

Shimano every time. Used Hope in the past but you had to get it spot on doing them up otherwise they came loose - would never use them again. Never had one problem with Shimano.

XT that came with an old set of wheels long since sold. Though I don't use QRs generally, I've switched to an assortment of maxles, bolt-ins and halo hex-bolt skewers.

Shimano is guaranteed to work.
XTR970 is also very pretty (if costly)
