[#440462]

I got a cheap pair of SJS cycles cheap panniers off a mate for a cheap £10. After a few months of use they have truly excelled at demonstrating that "you get what you pay for". Virtually every part has broken/torn/fallen off, and I realised that my regular jumping off kerbs and hitting a few doubles on the way home may have put excessive stress on the hangy bits.
So if I were to invest in a set of rugged panniers to last me a while, what brands can handle a bit of rufty tufty? ta

Correct me if I'm wrong, but they don't design panniers with doubles in mind. I suggest you either use a backpack or stick to the tarmac.

Had to laugh when I read the title...you don't half get some daft ones on this forum!

Great new niche.

Better panniers will last longer.

I have some Carradice Super C's, daily use for 10 years, pretty good nick, only the odd kerb-hop though.

Maybe looking at your jumping and landing technique it so you are less hard on your kit?

Hey if nothing else it teaches you to land smoothly.
I'm serious here, look it's now 1:30. I will investigate Carradice!
