That's it, summer is over, time to get the commuter ready for the winter...

What 26" mudguards work best with discs?

I know I could bend the stays but the last time I did that it was a ball ache.

I'l also be using P-clips as there are no threaded holes for guards on the frame, this probably makes my mounting options a little easier.

like you said it's the stays that are problematic and I'm not sure if there's anything that's going to be significantly better than an SKS guard. I'f you're using p-clips then you can mount them above the caliper at least.

A google image search show up some that seem to mount part way up the fork or seat stays but I'm struggling to work out which they are.

By using P-clips on the rear it gives me more mounting opportunities but still involve bending the guard stays.

If you're using P-clips just mount them a few inches up the seat stays, no need to bend the guard stays themselves unless you have to go so far that the bracket can't cope with the angle.

Don't worry, guys! The summer is coming back shortly, as I've just fitted mudguards on my bike this morning!
