New to singletrack and looking for advice so who better to ask , you guys.
I have a cube ltd 2012 or 13 at the moment and it's fine but I'm looking to upgrade. I go trail ridding and I'm just getting into bikepacking. I'm in my 40s kids and a morgage so I've got about £1500 to £2000 to spent.any advice would be great.

Hardtail, full suss or rigid? Are you a wheels on the ground or jumps and drops type rider? For bike packing I'd personally be looking at a steel hardtail or rigid. Salsa and Surly make some nice bike aimed at bike packing.
