I'm guessing this isn't the first time it's been asked but I've searched and can't find any threads, so:

What are good front and rear tyre recommendations for aggressive trail riding, bike parks and cross country type riding?

Cheers

For optimal results I recommend two, apply one to each wheel and ride.

In all seriousness you're asking for the impossible, you want grippy for aggressive trail riding but smooth rolling for XC.

OK I'm definitely going for black, and 2! Grippy aggressive trail is the priority!

I've still got my racing Ralph's on my Anthem 29er and they coped with the mud fest at the weekend quite well.

Racist

, and 2!

Bigamist

If in doubt, minions. Do some things brilliantly, most things well, a couple of things adequately and very few things badly. But there's no one tyre that's ideal for bike parks and XC never mind whatever the other thing is.

Shorty, vigilante and magic mary are the 3 basic tyres for aggressive and mixed trail conditions. Get one or two on, maybe something sassy on the rear if you want slightly faster rolling.

Specialized Purgatory on the front and Ground Control on the rear for my bike

bike came with Racing Ralphs, I am recovering from a cracked rib after finding the front tire to be completely useless at the sight of damp ๐Ÿ™
