What shoes do you reccommend for riding with flats?
I am riding skate shoes at the moment and grip in not the issue, life span is. I am getting about 2 months out of a pair of shoes before my pins eat through the sole. So i am looking for a mountain biking specific shoe that lasts alot longer.
Any ideas/ reviews.

Shimano am40 or 5:10 of any flavour

any non ugly skate shoe
Always thought that skate shoes had enough grip until I got some am40's. Very impressed with them. Shimano have ceased production of these but there maybe some old stock knocking around.
try search function this gets asked every week and you'll find lots of options/opinions.
AM40 for me, found 5.10s too stiff and no feel. Vans/Etnies with waffle sole £20 from TK maxx also work well (I use em for winter riding to keep my AM40s in good shape).
Am40s in the winter as the lace cover keeps water out.5:10 basics when its dry, world apart on the grip front
