Speaking purely hypothetically (in case Mrs RBIT sees this), has anyone got any thoughts as to which lefty wheels to buy? Can't stretch (I don't think) to I9 or Crossmac SLR; don't trust Crank Bros due to lots of reports of eg. hubs seizing. I think that leaves XTR, Crossmax SL or handbuilts, unless anyone has any other suggestions? Use would be entirely XC.

Ta

Andy

wow those crossmax' are cheap.
Wheels will depend on intended riding and tyre width.Got a prophet tried 717' but a bit narrow with 2.35 highrollers. Now ride with home built 819' tough and stiff lovely for my local steep techy rock strewn terrain

Ha ha, love who ever added the thread tag.

So how much of an upgrade would this be from a cdale hub + mavic 317s?

Also forgive my dullness, but would this be a good route to going tubeless?

Being honest they are just so cheap I'm finding it hard resisting the force...
