My wife is after a hybrid to replace the old hardtail she has, budget is £500 or under, any deals out there, what do you ladies ride that you could recommend? Also looking at 2nd hand

Giant are excellent at that price point, and teeny tiny size options too.

I would have to prise my wife's Specialized Vita out of her cold dead hands! Only £400 but it's been amazing, she is 4'11" and we didn't have to change a thing to make it fit. Saddle, grips, cranks everything perfect.

My wife has a Merida Speeder Juliet which at the time was £475, would seem they are more now, nice bike if you can get a 2nd hand deal.

Just got my wife a Whyte Carnaby over the weekend. £599. I was really impressed. Pretty good spec. pretty light, good looking bike, not much to dislike. A little over your quoted budget, but there might be some deals around.

A work friend has a small framed Pinnacle in bright yellow too and that's a great looking bike, she loves it. They do some really nice looking bikes.
