Looking to get some pads as keep on wrecking my legs! I ride 25/30 mile routes so want something quite light that i dont have to keep in taking on and off... Doesnt need to be that heavyweight as i dont do big rocks, just trees, sticks, stones and other annoyingly low objects. Dont want to spend more than £30 if possible.

Cheers for any suggestions...

I use the Naypads myself.

They're very comfy.

I use and like Troy Lee Lopes pads. CR are currently doing them for £40.

Knee and Shin pads are never great for XC, 661 Kyle Strait knee pads are pretty good for XC but you'll struggle to get a shin pad on as well.

My wife has been looking for some shin pads.

As a recent return to mtbing, she doesn't want to cut / graze up her legs. Been looking at the 661 Veggies - anyone (especially female riders on here) have any thoughts ??

It's all about the Kyle Straits. Veggies might seem like a good idea for lighter use but they're the sweatiest, most uncomfortable things ever. Kyle Strait ones are chunkier but infinitely more comfortable. Plus you can get brown ones = super cool.
